The Employee Development Programme (EDP) 2025 was officially launched in March with a fantastic launch event at Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim. The event brought together 50 self-nominated participants from across CRH Ireland and Northern Ireland companies.
People are our Priority
The aim of the Programme is to develop and leverage the skills and talents of our people, who have helped transform the business into a future of innovation, sustainability, and a leader in construction solutions.
Over the next six months, participants will work in small teams to tackle industry challenges and take part in a charity team-building challenge, supporting The Irish Cancer Society and Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. This is an incredible opportunity to foster personal growth, boost confidence, and strengthen connections across CRH operations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Each team is assigned a dedicated mentor who will guide them during the course. The mentors are made up of leaders from across the business.
The day started with tea and coffee, allowing participants to mingle and network before engaging in insightful presentations from esteemed Business Leaders. Teams were then formed, and participants took part in icebreaker activities, helping them connect with their colleagues and mentors. The day wrapped up with presentations from experts across the business, offering guidance for the participants’ upcoming projects.
Led by HR Director Nicola O'Malley and supported by the participating companies HR teams, the programme has been a huge success in previous years, and we are looking forward to what’s to come from the next batch of future leaders.
