Empowered Talent

Following the huge success of the inaugural 2023 programme, we were delighted to launch the 2024 CRH Ireland & Northern Ireland Employee Development Programme (EDP) in Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim.

The aim of the Programme is to develop and leverage the skills and talents of our people, who have helped transform the business into a future of innovation, sustainability, and a leader in construction solutions.

The secret to the EDP success is that employees from varied backgrounds, with different skillsets, across CRH companies are coming from all corners of the Island of Ireland to collaborate and identify solutions for real business challenges. Last year’s feedback showed it was a hugely rewarding experience for all, from both a professional and personal development perspective.

Solutions-focused

Wednesday’s event brought together 50, self-nominated participants from across CRH's Ireland & Northern Ireland businesses, Irish Cement, Roadstone, Cubis, Northstone Materials, Mattest, ISAC and Island Aggregates.

The programme will consist of project-work led by business leader mentors from the businesses reflecting the real challenges facing our industry, from health and safety issues to sustainability and commercial solutions. Participants will also participate in a team building challenge supporting this year’s worthy charity, Lighthouse construction industry charity.

The dynamic training concept, led by HR Director Nicola O’Malley and supported by Robyn Lamon-Diver, has been tailored to support personal growth, boost confidence, and strengthen connections across CRH Op-Co’s in Ireland & Northern Ireland. Given its success last year, we can look forward to great things from the class of 2024 when they present their projects an audience of senior leaders from CRH Ireland in November.
