Roadstone Managing Director Donal Rigney, hosted a Long Service Award ceremony for the company in The Sheraton Hotel, Athlone.
The special event shone a spotlight on our longest-serving colleagues, some of whom have over 45 years service. The company strategy is built around 3 key pillars: People, Performance and the Future, the most critical being its People and this event was all about them.
2024 will mark 75 years in business for Roadstone. Since its foundation by two brothers in 1949, it has seen incredible growth and success. Our people honoured in Athlone were integral to this success.
172 employees and their guests were invited to attend, with dinner and dancing late into the night. People travelled from 40 Roadstone locations, with many colleagues delighted to meet each other in person for the first time.
Managing Director, Donal Rigney led the celebration and highlighted how our culture of innovation, sustainability and leadership in construction solutions is a great source of pride to him, and must be protected for the generations to come.
Donal reflected on his own long and fulfilling career in Roadstone to date and and remarked on how many people in the room had worked together for a lifetime.
Two colleagues, Kieran Shannon and Eamonn Downey stood out with almost a century of experience between them and they were delighted to present Donal with his Long Service Award.
The event, organised by the HR department and overseen by HR Graduate Aoife Newman, was a huge success and showcased that Roadstone is not just about our business- it is about our people!
